REAL WORK. LOCAL IMPACT.
A better setup for a busy clinic.

GRIESBACH, EDMONTON · HEALTHCARE
A healthier IT setup.
A clearer way forward.
What was the challenge?
The clinic had exposed modem ports, an oversized server, and no dedicated firewall, device protection, or email filtering.
How did TechOS help?
TechOS audited the setup, right-sized the server, secured the network, and added device and email protection. The clinic then moved to ongoing managed IT.

Managed IT: what you need to know.
What are managed IT services?
Managed IT services are an outsourced IT department. A provider takes ongoing responsibility for your helpdesk, monitoring, security, updates, and backups for a fixed monthly fee. The difference from break-fix support is timing: you are paying to prevent problems rather than by the hour to repair them.
How much do managed IT services cost per month?
Our managed IT plans are priced per device (endpoint). Essential starts at $60 per endpoint for teams with 5 to 10 devices ($300–$600 per month). Professional is $75 per endpoint for teams with 10 to 50 devices ($750–$3,750 per month). Enterprise has a custom monthly rate for 50 or more endpoints, based on devices and scope. We confirm your total, the setup work, and anything quoted apart from it before you decide.
Is it cheaper to outsource IT or hire in-house?
For most businesses under about 50 staff, outsourcing costs less than one full-time hire once salary, benefits, training, and holiday cover are counted, and it gives you a team with several specialities rather than one person covering five roles. An in-house hire starts to make sense when someone is needed on site daily or your systems are unusual enough to need dedicated knowledge.
What does a managed IT provider do day to day?
Answer tickets, act on monitoring alerts, apply updates, check backup jobs, review security alerts, set up and remove staff accounts, and keep your documentation current. The visible part is the helpdesk; most of the work is the maintenance that stops tickets being raised in the first place.
Do I need a long-term contract?
Contract length, renewal, and notice periods are confirmed in your proposal. Ask for these alongside the service scope so you can compare the full offer rather than the headline price.
Can you help us switch IT providers?
Yes. We plan the handover of accounts, records, backups, and support responsibilities, with agreed timing and verification checks before the old service ends.
